I am a big proponent of primary documents.  The more  you can go to the original source, the more accurate your information is likely to be.  You'll notice in most of my blog posts, I include actual quotations from the people about whom I write.  I include their writings, their journal and diary entries, and their letters.  I also almost always include resources for further reading because I believe you will gain the most benefit not from taking my word for it, but by hearing the actual words of my friends from history. 

I've pulled a few quotations from those who have most inspired me.  Perhaps their words can act like footprints in the sand from which we can learn and follow.  I hope you enjoy these scribbles from history's heroes.  If you do, feel free to share them on your social media so others can be inspired as well.
